Welcome to Fatty and Baldies Hibernian Web Site.
We are Hibs supporters from just outside Edinburgh who have been following the team for longer than we care to remember. We believe in getting behind the team, no matter how bad they are playing, and leaving criticism until after the final whistle.
On browsing through various football sites from all over the world, we thought it would be good fun to try and create a Hibs site of our own.
That's when we decided to do 'Fatty and Baldie's Hibs Site.'
The aim of our site is to make Hibernian information available all over the world. You will find a wide variety of information that will continue to expand over time. We have a few things in mind, but we would appreciate your views and ideas to improve this site.
We are not here to just slag off the Jambos (although you may find some of that goes on), we also want to let people know about our great Club and their achievements past and present.
So if you like the sound of this - please visit us again.
I was brought up supporting Hibs from an early age. The first game I remember seeing was a one-nil win over East Fife at Easter Road. I can't remember what season this was in, but my Dad tells me I was at Hibernian v Naples in 1968 so it must have been before then.
My biggest regret in life is saying 'No, it's too cold today' when my Dad asked if I wanted to go to the match. This occured on January 1st 1973 - what a plonker! I went to the next Derby match though (we lost 4-1!).
Personally, my first memories of seeing the Hibees was when I was about twelve, when I went along to Easter Road with some mates just for something to do. The game was against Dundee United and to be truthful I couldn't even tell you the score.
The bug finally hit me about 1986, yes, that's the season the Jambo's took seven points out a possible eight, but what a difference a point makes!
I followed the Hibs home and away for about seven years, but unfortunately, these days other commitments limit me to just going to the home games.
Visitors since our launch on 1st October 1999.
